Best Places to Plein Air Paint in Brookings - Harris Beach

Harris Beach is one of the favorite places to paint with the ocean and sea stacks. It is surrounded by a variety of trees, fox gloves and ferns. Absolutely stunning.  Oh and it is where the WhaleSpoken.org volunteers are stationed for the peak grey whale migration during Christmas and Easter vacation. There is camping available and yurts. Check it out if you come this way.
There are several different  parking lots with  trail accessibility and views. This means you don't have to hike your paint equipment too far.  Like most of us, we just back our vehicles into a spot, pop the trunk, set up and start painting. (Psst - clean restrooms, too).
